Kevin Feige President of Production at Marvel Studios has dropped some Dr Strange movie hints in a couple of articles that are now floating around in the ether. Feige talks about possible directors for the movie, but what really caught my eye was this statement I found here.
Are you watching the Cosmos series? That’s magic. It’s unbelievable. If somebody knew how to tap into that stuff, what’s the difference between that and magic?
He went on to say,
“You don’t get into it in Harry Potter, but if a scientist went to Hogwarts he’d find out how some of that stuff is happening! We’re not going to spend a lot of time on that, but there will be some of that. And particularly for a character like Strange, who goes from a man of science to a man of faith and who traverses both worlds. And sometimes there won’t be an answer! Sometimes he’ll want an answer – “How is this happening?!” – and nothing.”
I can totally connect the above statement to the image seen above. I love Dr Strange, I’m reading through a couple of Dr Strange Essentials right now, but so far he hasn’t been translated into film all that well – at least in the couple of attempts that I have seen. This gives me hope that there will be some cosmic beauty along with some weird fiction that could really make this movie stand apart from the rest of the super hero beat-em-ups that are on schedule to come out in the next year or two. Dr Strange may be able to make a release date in 2016, but if that date is true, they better find a director and a competent actor and get shooting soon.
