Weeks ago I heard about Marvel creating a Netflix exclusive television show based on the Defenders and I was pretty stoked. Then I saw this a couple of days ago on Twitter (I’m still trying to catch up on my posts).

Then yesterday I saw this image in an article about how Marvel is beginning to film their Netflix exclusive series in partnership with New York City, bringing 3,000 jobs to the city with it. (source)

But then I was like, ‘yo those ain’t the Defenders‘. Those are Heroes for Hire or Marvel Knights. Actually, Marvel Knights would be a cool HBO series so they could show blood and stuff. Anyways, I’m a little disappointed. I’m a Dr. Strange man myself and the real Defenders’ foes would be epic and would require a high budget in special effects. This show with the Heroes for Hire cast, we’ve already had stuff like that on the WB. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll still be watching, but really, no Dr. Strange?
